Hi Sandy: Thanks for your response. I am interested in all Hamiltons from this area. The name David was often used in my line of Hamiltons. I have seen records on the Patrick Hamilton from Chester Co. So far, cannot tie my John Hamilton to him. I don't have the information on this William Hamilton (1700-1784), the immigrant to PA, yet. We are planning to go to that area in the fall. I plan to collect the deeds, probates etc. and try to put this Hamilton family together. My DNA contact said William did have a brother named Hance, who also settled in PA. Some of the next generation came to York Co. SC. Could you tell me something about your Anthony Hamilton? I have not come across that name before. Born abt 1789, your Anthony would be a bit younger than my John (1770/75), but they could be brothers. What are the allied surnames to your family? (Wife's maiden name, spouses of children, etc.) My Hamiltons are connected to the names Greer (Grier), Reid (Read), Blair, Taylor, Morton, Wyatt, Wylie. All except Greer and Taylor have Chester Co. area roots, and maybe they do too. Nancy In response to; Hi Nancy--no connection to my Anthony L Hamilton born abt 1789 that I know of unless your William may have had a brother? Possibly a Patrick or David? My Anthony was born (no proof) in the Chester area or thereabouts. Sandy H **************Feeling the pinch at the grocery store? Make meals for Under $10.
