Both were from the Fayette County, Indiana area. I do have some information on your William M. Hamilton. William M. Hamilton was born in Indiana around 1850. His parents were William Hamilton and Nancy. William Hamilton was born around 1826 in Indiana. Nancy was born around 1830 in Kentucky. So far, I have located four children for them: Lucinda, Celia A., Nancy and William M. Lucinda was born about 1843 in Indiana. Celia A was born about 1846 in Indiana. Nancy was born about 1848 in Indiana. William M was born about 1850 in Indiana. Your William M. Hamilton's father, William, may be related to my Hamilton's. I am related to John Hamilton (buried in City Cemetery in Connersville) and Sarah Adams. John Hamilton's father was George C. Hamilton and possibly Elizabeth Miller. John Hamilton was born about 1838 in Maryland and Sarah Adams was born about 1840 in New York. They had 9 children: Wilson, George, William Jesse, David A., John, Alanson, Samuel Lewis, Mary and James A,. Wilson Hamilton (b.Jan 1857) m1-Martha J Crawley, m2- Mary McMahan, m3-Ella Huber. George Hamilton (b.1859, d. between 1860 and 1870). William Jesse Hamilton (b. Apr 1865) m-Mary H Barker. David A Hamilton (my great-great grandfather) (b. 17 Dec 1868-26-Oct 1912) m-Lizzie Hood. John Hamilton (b.Jun 1871-bet. 1920 and 1930) m-Lillie Davis. Alanson Hamilton (b. May 1874) m-Anna Garner. Samuel Lewis Hamilton (b.9 Oct 1875- 2 Jan 1951) m-Inez May Huber. Mary Hamilton (b. Aug 1878) m-Jesse Garner. James A Hamilton (b. Jun 1882). Anna Garner and Jesse Garner were brother and sister and married brother and sister of the Hamilton family.
