He disappears after 1870 Federal Census where he lived with his aunt, Nancy Hamilton Clark of LaFayette, N.Y. Reappears @ his father's death in 1895. Jane was in the insane asylumn @ Ogdensburgh in 1895. Of the NY Hamiltons of that era, havent been able to positively locate and ID Eugene and his life/descendants because of lost early information. Any viable information will be appreciated. Thank you.
