This book was gathered and compiled by James Alexander Hamilton, son of John W. Hamilton on 1921. It was reprinted in 1964 with revisions and insert sheets in the memory of Robert G. Miller, 1911-1964. The oldest of the photographs are of the Taylor Miller Family made in 1891. This picture is a copy. On the back list all the people in the photo along with their age. The book is showing some wear on the cover but the inside has been well taken care of and is in excellent conditon. The genealogy begins in 1296 giving the earliest records of the first known Hamilton, who was Walter Fitz-Gilbert( son of Gilbert) called Hamilton. You are then taken across the ocean to America where they settled in Pennsylvania. Reference is made to them moving to North Carolina, Indianapolis Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Africa and to be honest, I don't have time to read the whole book and there can still be more places they moved to. Some of the family names are: Adams, Alexander, Atkins, Baker, Benton, Blackburn, Blackwell, Blanks, Boyd, Haile, Hamil, Hamilton, Killough, Knox, Lacewell, Miller, Moses, Mowery, Page, Pangle, Patty, Sprunt,Stotts, Storm, Rousseau, Smith, Thompson, Ward,White, Willeford, Woodard, Wooten, and many many more. The revision is printed by Glendon Miller of Wichita, Kansas. There are 85 pages of extensive research for the descendents of Hugh Miller, what a find!
