I have started a website at myfamily.com that specializes in the Hamiltons of Coosa County, Al. and surrounding county, Shelby county, Ala. I have included census from 1840-1870 and marriages dates for Hamilton marriages. This website was created to try to get Hamiltons in this area to identify their lines and participate with their gedcoms, photographs, discussion and theories. Perhaps your line kept better records than most of us and that will help us eliminate your line or join you in your quest for further identification of our families. I live about 1 1/2 hours from this area and I plan a trip to the court house. I have other lines in that area that I am researching too. The Bakers, Wilsons and Johnsons from Marble Valley, Coosa County and sometimes they located in Talladega. So It is possible I could look something up on my trip to the court house.
