I have no idea if He and Ernest were related however, as you probably know most of the Birth death and Marriage data for Cork for periods earlier were lost in the fires of 1916 and 1922. It was a tradition in Irish families to name off spring with the Christian names of relatives, so given the common first names and the same time frame it is a possibibility. My father died in 2002 so unfortunately I can not ask him. My grandfathers name was George Hamilton (died 1918 in an accident in a Flour Mill) My grandmothers maiden name was Margeret Delaney.(died 1938) My father was the youngest of 9 children. My grand Mothers maiden name was Margeret Delaney The children in age order were: Bridie James Gilbert Margeret Jeremiah Christine Elizabeth Katherine Thomas. That is about as much as I know.
