Rev.(Methodist Circuit Rider) Archibald M. Brown b. abt 1790 Scotland m. Sarah Alexander McCarty. Children married children of Alexander Neilson Bell. Brother Alexander A. Brown b. 1795 Scotland Brother John W. Brown b. abt 1800 NC? Sister Jennet Brown 1800 NC? m. Stephen Currie Hamilton b. 1811SC. Appeared they lived in these areas: Richardson Creek at Negro Head Creek now New Salem Creek. Also on the original Mecklenberg Anson County line now slighty west of modern day Monroe (formed 1842). Associated with Bell, McCollum, McCarthy or McLarty, Howard familes. Left NC for Macon Co. Al probably early 1837. Stephen Hamilton appears in 1834 on store ledger of Solomon Simmons as hiring a Negro Girl from William C. Connor. Line 71. Where did Stephen Hamilton come from?????
