My data comes from family history information recorded in 1809 and 1830 by his son, Dr. Horatio Arnold Hamilton (1778-1850). It was copied by his and supplemented by Asa's greatgrandson, Horatio Asa Hamilton (1840-1918) and published in "The Genealogy of the Hamilton Family from 1716 to 1894", compiled by Salome Hamilton, printed by A.C.
