I also am a descendent of Archibald/Andrew/John/John Allen/George Allen. Your line then descinded through George Wharton while mine came through his brother Joseph Clement, my grandfather. >From your message, it would appear that George Wharton was your grandfather. If this is the case, that would put you and I in the same generation. I am just getting started in trying to put together this puzzle called a family tree and would appreciate any help and information you could provide. From what I have seen so far, the Hamilton's of Abbeville, SC moved far and wide. I feel fortunate that my family stay reasonably close as I am only about an hour's drive from Abbeville. Again, if you get this message, I would love to hear from you and share information about our common ancestors as well as learn about the current generation(s).
