All, Our William Hamilton (b. 1826 in Ireland - migrated to US in 1848 - d. 1910 in IL) also ended up in the Allen County/Hardin County OH area in 1855. Does anyone know what the attraction was for the Hamiltons to these OH counties in that era? Were they perhaps closely related, despite the differences in birthplace and dates of migration? He servered as a private Aug 24, 1812 to Feb 24, 1813. His marriage record to Fanny Elliott on 7-18-1816 is in Chamapign County Court House, Urbana, Ohio. James died in Auglaize Township, Allen County, Ohio, April 4, 1849. >
