I've finally found my gg;s final resting place - thanks to the listers of Belleville Cemetery, Sevier County, AR James W. Hamilton Born: 14 Aug 1827, County Tyrone, Ireland Death: 14 Jan 1918 Burial: Belleville Cemetery, near Lockesburg, Sevier County,AR His CSA Marker reads: "Pvt James W. Hamilton, Co A 1 Ar Mtd Rifles, CSA" James came to America, NY, 1848, joined the CSA in 1861, fought in at least 9 battles and his last engagement was at Jamestown, N.C. when the notice of of surrender was given. In 1868, he married Sarah A. Bain in Lawrence Co., AL, farmed for 8 years, moved to Lamar County TX for 3 years before settling in Murfreesboro AR in 1879 with 3 daughters: Lenora Willett,Nancy E, and Fanny L., my grandmother.
