I am researching my ancestor John Hamilton (born abt 1816 in Ireland) who married Mary Mason (born abt 1819 in Ireland) and had two children in Ireland William (b. 1840) and Elizabeth (b. 1847) before they migrated to the USA in 1847 and settled in Philadelphia, PA. They had three children in Philadelphia, Joseph (b. 1851), William (b. 1854), and Mary Jane (b. 1860). I am descended from Joseph. He is my great-grandfather.
