Effie I love those names. They sure do ring a bell. I thought my William was from Knott Co. But I am unsure of that. I can not find him in the Kentucky Census. Can you? My William Hamilton first married a Josephine Vance and had at least two children. Nancy was one daughter nicknamed Nannie, and she married a Robert Hughes, and Sarah was the second one, and she married a Robert Ratliff. She lived her life in Auburn Ky holler. Then William married Nancy Elizabeth Sparkman and had three children before they moved from Knott Co. to Pike County then across the river to Mingo County West Virginia. All their children were born in Ky except for the last one Josephine Hamilton who married a John Smith and moved the Williamson WVa. Does any of this help you Sally Hamilton
