Melissa: It has been suggested to me to contact you, for possible Hamilton information. I am wondering if you have anything on a John Hamilton, born 1770/80, possibly in Chester Co. SC or nearby. John Hamilton married Martha Greer in the late 1790s in SC. Their children were named Susannah, William Greer, Ann, Nancy, David Montgomery, and Margaret Greer. The family moved to Lincoln Co. TN in 1810, and John was killed by a falling tree in 1812. (I have seen the reference to him in the book by McPherson.) I have not been able to find the parents of this John Hamilton.
