They came from Sligo, Ireland. This is what I have from family members-James Hamilton married Mary Mulrooney. She was born in Sligo on 6-25-1826 and died in Patch Grove, Wi USA on 7-23-1901. James enlisted in the British Army rather than starve. Our guess is because of the potato famine. IN 1849 he deserted and came with his family to the US (NY). He died and left his widow and son Patrick J. They lived there til 1855, then came to Wisconsin, town of Patch Grove. Mary married Micael Casy and they had two children. Patrick married Mary Jane Stockwell Gilbert and they had 8 children. Any help would be appreciated. I've found either a Mary and James on ships coming to the US from Ireland or Patrick and James, but not all three. Thanks
