Born in Campbell, he had lived in the Avoca area most of his life. Survivors include his widow, Lena Walden Hamilton; five sons, Richard, Philip, Orland, and Victor, all of Avoca, and Gilbert of Pulteney; three daughters, Mrs. Alberta Lathrop, Mrs. Lucille Kinney and Mrs. Elizabeth Hall, all of Bath RFD; mother Mrs. Lena O. Hamilton of Avoca; a brother, William Hamilton of Avoca; a sister, Lena E. Hamilton of Avoca; 17 grandchildren. Services will be held at the Sheppard-VanPatton Funeral Home in Avoca, at 2pm, Wednesday, the Rev. Gordon C. Coover, pastor of the Avoca Baptist Church officiating.
