(Hamilton may have originally been spelled Hambelton) William Hamilton and his wife Jane were both born in England. They immigrated to Canada with their six known children. Eventually, at least two of the older children moved to Iowa - back to Canada - then on to Michigan. One of the younger sons, Henry Hamilton (my line), and a daughter, Lucy Hamilton Pickle, immigrated from Canada to Michigan to California and back to Michigan. Understand that the majority of the information below was obtained from census records which may have resulted in some errors.
