About three o'clock on the morning of April 1st, at his house, Esco, Union county, Tenn, Roscoe, the son of E. A. and Pernina C. Hamilton. He was a bright boy, only six years and eight-months old. He had marks of a long and useful life before him, being physically strong and having an active mind. He had attended school only a few months, but had made rapid progress in that short time. He manifested great interest in his studies, and on hearing the bell ring for school would cry because he could not go, and would talk about his classmates getting before him. His cheerful and lively disposition also endeared him to his parents. But he is gone . . . Roscoe leaves three brothers and one sister behind.
