John Sanford "Sanders" Hamilton who was born Sept. 20, 1846 in South Carolina and moved to Alabama in 1860 with his father. He married Martha Elizabeth “Lizzie” Roberts in 1868. She was born in 1848. They lived in Hardin County, Tennessee and had four sons: Oscar Eugene, b. 1869, Samual Aughtry, b. 1877, Ira Lucis, b. 1881, and Henry Quit, b. 1888. And five daughters: Emma Retta (Hamilton) Pelton, b. 1871, Lula Addassa, Beckie Anner, b. 1883, Hattie Jewel, and Bertrass Grace, b. 1892. The Hamiltons moved from Tennessee to Arkansas in 1882 and settled in Saline County, ARK. John Sanford "Sanders" Hamilton was my great grandfather, but I know nothing of his mother and father and his brother. If anybody has any details on any of the above Hamiltons, please let me know.
