    1. [HAM] HOLLAND's connection to Lord Nelson/Emma Hamilton?
    2. Paul Weedon
    3. Hi Listers, I have been researching on behalf of my step-sister after I learned from her recently that she had been told a long time ago that she was related to Lord Nelson/Emma Hamilton. Her maternal grandfather was a James Gibson HOLLAND. 'Gibson' is rather an unusual christian name but coincidently happens to be the surname of the woman who looked after Lord Nelson and Emma Hamilton's daughter, Horatia, from a week old. James Gibson's father was George Waterloo HOLLAND and his father was George HOLLAND. Now this George married a Rebecca NELSON 28th February, 1815 at Westminster St. George Hanover Sq. George Waterloo was christened 25 Jan, 1816 at St. Marylebone, Marylebone Road. According to a codicil of Nelson's will, his daughter Horatia was baptised in parish of Mary-le-bonne on 13th May, 1803. Whether these two events took place in the same church, I don't know but it seems more than a little coincidental that both took place in the same parish. Is there SKS who can hopefully point me in the right direction to help make the connection between Rebecca NELSON and Lord NELSON/Emma HAMILTON? I have tried myself but come up against brickwalls. Thanks for any help in advance. Paul
