John Hamilton b. 1814-1817 AL and his son, William J. "Jake" Hamilton b. May 1850 AL d. 20 Sept 1921 Monroe Co. MS 1870 Monroe Co. MS census shows: Hamilton, John 56 M W Farmer $300 AL Hamilton, Pollie 56 F W keeping house Georgia Hamitlon, William 20 M W Farm labor AL 1880 Monroe Co. MS census shows: Hamilton, John 63 AL SC SC Hamilton, Olive 66 wife AL SC SC Hamilton, William J. 30 son AL AL AL Hamilton, Nancy 26 wife MS MS MS Hamilton, Fannie 7 daughter MS AL MS Hamilton, Many 6 MS AL MS Hamilton, Quilla 3 MS AL MS Hamilton, Henry 5/12 Feb son MS AL MS I don't know if Pollie & Olive are both John Hamilton's wives, or some other relationship exists between him & Pollie, or if they could even be the same person. William J. Hamilton married 3 times (1) Nancy Sanders 29 Feb 1872 Monroe Co. MS (2)S. J. Stevens 22 Apr 1892 Monroe Co. MS and (3) Sarah Waycaster 24 Sept 1899 Monroe Co. MS. He had 10 children that I am aware of: Fannie, Minnie, Quilla (Priscilla on her marriage record), Henry Curtis, Malina, Roy Thomas, William E., Isie, and Alice & Annie, twins. The 3 last children were with wife #2. I haven't been able to locate John Hamilton in any other census records, with any certainty. Does anyone know anything about any of these Hamiltons?
