Bright Star, do you know much about Amherst VA? My GGGGrandfather James Hamilton come from that part of the country, Orange Virginia. I have traced him back to 1757 in Orange country, then on the McMinn Tenn where he died in 1844. I can not find him in Tenn, but have some records that said he went there to live with his son who may be named Wyatt. I am Caucasian and I am assuming you are Monacan. Am I right? Still there may be a connection.
