Author: Domino1st1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.hamilton/3835.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Mymother,Willie Bell.Hamilton,was born in Jackson,Mississippi,to Amos or Angus, Hamilton,and alberta Freeman,on a Native American Reservation(Alberta Freeman was Native American).willie Bell.Hamilton's father,Amos,was supposedly born in England,to an English father,and a Colored-Welsh mother.My mother wouldn't give me any birthdates for them,so I don't know when they were born,and when amos Hamilton,along with his brother albert and Carey,and sister,Alice,came to the US.My mother did tell me Amos Hamilton was killed in WWII,when she was about two years old.What year she didn't say.She Said there was also a brother names Roy Hamilton,he had a Son in the US named Roy Jr.And Carey had a Daughter named Doreen Hamilton.People called her Dora.If any of these names sound familiar,please let me know.
