I have found her in the 1910 through 1930 married to Bert Freeman. I figured her birth date from that. She was 21 in 1910. Wayne Co. Indiana Census of 1910 Ella May Yarber was born about 1878 as she was 32 in 1910 Census of Indiana, Marion Co. Franklin. I have no idea where they were born as it just says she was born in Indiana Again I want to thank you. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xFh.2ACEB/4522 Message Board Post: I have no relation to the following persons. I am working on doing a simple bio on them both but can not locate much information online about Doris Fielding Reid and need the burial location of Edith Hamilton (b.Aug. 12, 1867- d. May 1, 1963 in Washington, DC). At this time here is the information I do have: Doris Fielding Reid lived with Edith Hamilton for 60 years. Edith passed away in Washington DC in May 1, 1963 and Doris at that time is still living as I located the following: (Pandora's Box and quote from Mythology by Edith Hamilton. ©1942 by Edith Hamilton; © renewed 1969 by Doris Fielding Reid. By permission of Little, Brown and Company (Inc.) Which means Doris had to be alive in 1969 to have renewed the copyright. Edith Hamilton grew up in Indiana so perhaps that is where Doris also grew up. I also discovered the following tid bit of info: Edith Hamilton moved to New York with Doris Reid, an investment broker, in 1924 and embarked on her second career as a writer. Moved to Washington, D.C. when Reid was transferred to head a branch office there. Any info is appreciated and again I have no personal connections to the above named persons. Thanks, Jeffery ______________________________Date: Sun, 14 May 2006 13:20:04 -0500 From: "Theresa A. Crail" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [HAM] Re: Hamiltons in Arkansas OK. I was told she was Elizabeth but I only knew her by Ella May. I will check this out. I knew they were from either Kentucky or close by. I may have been N.C. rather than KY. If you wouldn't mind I would like the information on Elizabeth so I can go from that. See if I can put the two together.
