Does anyone have any information on a William J. HAMILTON (my great-x3 grandfather) of Mille Roches (near Cornwall), Stormont, Ontario, Canada who married Isabel "Eliza" MANSON at Trinity Anglican (Memorial) Church in Cornwall, Stormont, Ontario, Canada on 6 November 1834? I have no information on his birth, but he died on 18 June 1847 by drowning in the St.Lawrence River at Cornwall (he was trying to catch the ferry, and accidently drowned). He was a school master and later, a Merchant in Mille Roches and was co-owner of an inn/tavern (with his father-in-law, Hector Manson). His widow later married James MILROY on 10 January 1856. William J. & Isabel "Eliza" (Manson) Hamilton had the following children: 1. James Hector HAMILTON - born September 1835 in Mille Roches, Stormont, Ontario, Canada and died 22 December 1835 in Mille Roches, Stormont, Ontario, Canada. 2. Wellington "William" Edmund HAMILTON - born April 1838 in Mille Roches, Stormont, Ontario, Canada and died 24 April 1909 in Winthrop, New York, U.S. (he married Charlotte "Sally" M. PROUTY) 3. Eleanor Rebecca HAMILTON - born c.1843 in Mille Roches, Stormont, Ontario and died February 1910 in Amsterdam, New York, U.S. (she married Oscar Nadab EASTMAN) 4. Harriet Elizabeth HAMILTON (my great-X2 grandmother) - born 28 June 1845 in Mille Roches, Stormont, Ontario, Canada and died 8 December 1926 in Cornwall Twp, Stormont, Ontario, Canada (she married Samuel CLINE) Thanks!!
