Hi Lee: Sorry for the delay in responding to your answer on William G. Hamilton. We have been away since Aug. 10. I don't have any Hamiltons in AL. My brick wall is John Hamilton (ca 1770 - 1812). He and his sons died in Lincoln Co. TN. (One son was William Greer Hamilton, but he was born in 1802.) John Hamilton came from SC, possibly Chester Co. or Lancaster Co., but I haven't found his parents yet. So I can't help you with Hamiltons in 1870 in AL. Nancy Sicotte
