I believe I have found my Margaret Hamilton, b. in Brooklyn about 1855. I found her in the 1880 census in the 9th Ward in Brooklyn. Her parents were listed as Peter and Delia Hamilton, both born in Ireland. I am pretty sure this is here because I found her then future husband (they were married in 1881) in the 1885 business directory at the same address. Thanks again for responding. I appreciate it.
