Nan: I'm trying to put my Hamilton family together. Census record on my William G. Hamilton b1859 says his father was born in South Carolina. The 1870 census shows William G. age nine with 3 brothers Charles S. age 5, Saml P. age 7 and another brother age 12 but no father is listed, just his mother Mary E. Hamilton. I do know Charles was alive in 1943 and living in Atlanta. I've hit a brick wall, and hoping maybe your S.C. Hamiltons might be a tie in. Lee Hamilton Thames
