I have been searching for over 30 years for the parents of children born in PA 1801 - 1808 and died in the area of Fairfield Co OH. Dates of their children's birth indicate they probably moved to OH in the late 1820's or early 1830's. Unknown Mr. Hamilton and wife, perhaps named Susannah, had children Susannah born 1801 (who married Christian Smith), John born 1803, Joseph born 1805. and perhaps a Matilda and William. A Susannah Hamilton born 1774 PA was in the household of Christian and Susannah Smith in the 1850 census, and I am guessing she may be the mother of the children, but of course could be an aunt. Susannah Smith and her brother, Jacob Hamilton stated that both of their parents were born in Pennsylvania. Gayle gayle1@wheatstate.com
