His wife is Martha, born about 1800 in Virginia. They had several children, among them their daughter Mary E. She married John B. Bright 1 Oct 1852 in Hopkins County, Kentucky. About 1855 the whole clan moved to Hamilton county, Illinois. If anyone has any information on this group, I would love to discuss.

My g/g/g grandfather was James P. Hamilton born 1790 his wife was Margaret Turner born around 1792 he had 12 children but I can't find a Mary E. he had a daughter Susan M. born in 1821. Could we be talking about the same people here? The records I have I got from someone else so there could have been a Mary E. John Hamilton
