Hello, I am new to this list and after following it for about a month I almost hesitate to post. I didn't realize there were so very many Hamilton's being researched. I have two different Hamilton lines in Botetourt Co. VA. I am not a direct descendant of the Hamilton family but they have married into my KESSLER family and I would like to add the correct data. The first is John William HAMILTON Jr., ca 1808 Botetourt Co., VA son of John William HAMILTON b. ca 1784 Ireland d. 1823 Botetourt Co., VA and Catherine SIEBERT. John and Catherine m. 27 Aug 1807 Botetourt Co., VA. John W. HAMILTON Jr. m. first 16 Oct 1828 Botetourt Co., VA Margaret Agnes KESSLER b. ca 1803 VA d. 31 May 1861 Botetourt Co., VA, daughter of John KESSLER and Nancy WASKEY. John Jr. m. second 4 Sep 1862 Botetourt Co., VA Elizabeth LANTZ daughter of Lavinia LANTZ. The second Hamilton line I am looking for is Elizabeth Ann HAMILTON b. 25 Sep 1831 Botetourt Co., VA d. 17 Nov 1896, daughter of William HAMILTON b. 1786 Ireland d. 15 Jan 1853 Botetourt Co., VA and Elizabeth BUTCHER b. 1800 Botetourt Co., VA d. 18 Feb 1883.m. 13 Aug 1819 Botetourt Co., VA. Elizabeth Ann HAMILTON m25 Oct 1855 Botetourt Co., VA as his second wife Christopher Lee KESSLER b. 28 Aug 1802 d. 13 Feb 1869 Botetourt Co., VA. I hope I have typed all the dates correctly. Do any of these people sound familiar? Is anyone out there working either of these lines that could add to or correct my information?
