His GGG name was William also, wife Sarah (Stewart). Both William and Sarah were born in In Ireland about 1806 and 1809, but we don't know where for sure. The had 8 children, Martha 1827, Jane 1832, Sarah Anne 1824, Elizabeth 1836, Henry 1839, John Stuart (Our Line) 1840, Margaret 1844, and Stewart 1847. They came to the State in June of 1848 and settled in Allegheny Pennsylvania. Sarah died in 1875 and buried in Union Dale Cemetery in Pittsburg. I'm sure that his father's name was William also, but we don't have a meddle initial for him and we don't find him on the ships manifest record in 1848 Does any of this ring a bell for you for anyone else???? (Do not know Mother's name) James waa Birth: ABT 1695 Death: 1729 in Penns Neck,, New Jersey. Then his Father was Alexander Hamilton I do not know when he was born or died, but his parent's were as follow's. John Hamilton born b: 1604 in Grange, Scotland and his Mother was Elizabeth Crawfurd. And John Hamilton parent's were John Hamilton He was appointed Justice of the Peace of Cuninghame on 189 Sep 1634 According to Hamilton history there was another daughter who married a John Crawfurd and is mentioned in her father's will as an aide to the executors He died February 1662 in Grange, Scotland And his parents were Alexander Hamilton b: 1540 in Grange, Scotland. His Mother was Agnes Of Loch Craufurd b: 1545 in Lochnorris,, Scotland. The family tree goes on and on, but if we are related do you know how we are related to the Famous Alexander Hamilton.
