His mother I believe was Eleanor born abt 1861 in Peel, parish of Conchan. James may have had a sister named Emily or Mary. James did marry Mary Ann Kerr on 4 June 1913. They were married in Ottawa Ontario. James had been living at Eastview Ontario since 1893. Mary Ann is listed as living in Cummings Bridge Ontario. Neither had been married before. James Cunningham (1913) served in WW1.His regimental # was 145339. His Attestation paper is dated 20 October 1915. He lists his wife Annie Cunningham and states that he is a wiresplicer with one child 18 months old. Prior to this he served 3 years in the 2nd Canadian Field Artillery and 2 years in 5th Princess Louise Dragoon Guards. James and Mary had 2 known children Audrey and little Jimmy. Jimmy married and had a daughter Joan Cunningham, born 15 July 1941. Mary Ann Kerr was born in Northern Ireland. Mary was born 23 June 1891. She had a sister Margaret Jane Kerr who was born Ballystrudder Island Magee Norther Ireland. Margaret was born 2 May 1889 and married William Preston Davis in Alameda Saskatchewan Canada. Both girls came to Canada after their mother Martha Kerr nee Haveron died in 1895 from tuberculosis. They were taken away from their father John Kerr, and admitted 27 September 1899 into 'care'. From Ireland they were taken to Engalnd (Girls Village Home, Barkingside) then to Canada 6 June 1901. (other relative was Martha Haveron's (6 Marach 1867 Ballystrudder) sister Nancy Laverty born about 1861; living in Whitehead. Her husband was a quarryman they had 4 children. Martha and Nancy's parents were Williom Haveron, Ballystrudder Islandmagee and Margaret Hamilton) Maggie lived with a family named Sneddens. I'm not sure where Mary lived. He was married to Virginia Lee and had three children, Dwight Jr, James and Diane. We know he passed away in Oroville, CA about ten years ago. Virginia Lee also passed away around ten years ago. The only other piece of information we have is that he was adopted along with his sister Debbie. Adopted parents surnames were either; Day or Meeks. My mother was Helen Leitch Hamilton born in Bellshill, April 15, 1913 at Violet Grove, North Road. We don't know too much about the Hamilton side except that my grandfather had a sister, Minnie and brothers Thomas, William and Alec.His parents were James Hamilton from Glasgow and Jessie Turner.
