Elizabeth died about 1868, and James married Martha Jane Compton in Fingal Tasmania in 1870. They were in Melbourne in 1880.

    3. I'm trying to find info on my Hamiltons. My gg-grandfather was Nathan or Nathaniel Hamilton, born 1816 in Bedford Co., TN. He married Polly H. (?) from Kentucky and they were in Texas in 1840's. Do these names sound familiar??     3. For the generation that you are referring to, I have only the children of James Dathout Hamilton and his brother Benjamin's descendants. Benjamin had a Thomas born 1869, and Jmaes had a Thomas Rye, ny greatgrandfather b. 1880, but neither married to a Della Hoge. Sorry. If I can help you with anything else, I'll be glad to try.
