    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xFh.2ACEB/3223 Message Board Post: I was born 2-6-49 in Cincinnati. Found out recently from adoption papers that my name was Charles Ervin Hamilton. Birth mothers name is Mary A. Hamilton. Verified by judge when asked. She was supposedly 16 when I was born, thus making her year of birth 1933. Year of birth a guess because of rumors from cousin and family friend that said she was 16. Trying to locate any and all birth family. In previous post I stated address at time of birth. I really would like to have any leads to find her. If you know any Mary A. Hamiltons of that approximate age or lived at that address please email me with info. Thank you.

    3. TIA, I hope you get a good answer because I have the same question but my HAMILTON, James W. was b. 1827 County Tyrone, Ireland; came to NY in 1848 (potatoe famine) and showed up in 1861 joining the confederate in Little Rock AR. In researching AR, I discovered about 31 HAMILTONS owning property throughout in the 1800s. I feel the Irish stuck together and what was more comforting than their own relatives - unless there was a young indian maiden to enhance his frontiermanship. For a spot of the Irish, I would like to point out that during the 'potatoe famine' one of the largest contributors to their plight was the CHOCTAW NATION. I suppose that's another story. Surnames: Hamilton Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xFh.2ACEB/3221 Message Board Post: According to his gravestone, James Hamilton was 80y 8m 2d old at the time of his death on Sep. 18, 1872, implying a birth date of abt. Jan. 16, 1792. The 1850, 1860 & 1870 censuses all give Pennsylvania for his place of birth. He was drafted into the Ohio Militia August 15, 1814, at which time he was living in Fayette Co., OH. He married Maria Blue Aug. 5, 1817, in Ross Co., OH. They moved to Taylor Twp., Union Co., OH in June of 1835. I am hoping someone out there has researched the Hamiltons in Pennsylvania, has a birth record that matches with our James Hamilton's, and can provide me with his parents' name. Any help would be appreciated.
