    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xFh.2ACEB/3235 Message Board Post: Seeking information on William Hamilton. I have copies of 2 letters he wrote...one in 1865, during the Civil War from near Hatchers Run (it says Camp 1st, Maryland) and the second in 1882 from possibly Gimey's...Grove, Ray Co., Mo. The letters are written to his mother who I believe was Matilda Frederick Hamilton and his father Rezin Hamilton and his sister, Margaret Ann Hamilton Keller (my gg grandmother). The first letter talks about the weather and expecting to move in several days as well as the difficulty in getting paper or stamps to write. The second letter describes his 260 acres of land and tells his mother that he is married to Margaret and that they have a son Henry Harrison Hamilton who is 5 weeks old. He also mentions wanting to see his family. The letters are accompanied by a note from my grandmother defining who William is to our family. Any information would be appreciated.
