    3. I know nothing of this book, but saw it on eBay. The bidding ends in a few hours. Might be of interest to some of you. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=730406502&ssPageName=ADME :B:ON:US:1 Item # 730406502 Genealogy of the Descendents of Hugh Hamilton, 1921. This book was gathered and compiled by James Alexander Hamilton, son of John W. Hamilton on 1921. It was reprinted in 1964 with revisions and insert sheets in the memory of Robert G. Miller, 1911-1964. The oldest of the photographs are of the Taylor Miller Family made in 1891. This picture is a copy. On the back list all the people in the photo along with their age. The book is showing some wear on the cover but the inside has been well taken care of and is in excellent conditon. The genealogy begins in 1296 giving the earliest records of the first known Hamilton, who was Walter Fitz-Gilbert( son of Gilbert) called Hamilton. You are then taken across the ocean to America where they settled in Pennsylvania. Reference is made to them moving to North Carolina, Indianapolis Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Africa and to be honest, I don't have time to read the whole book and there can still be more places they moved to. Some of the family names are: Adams, Alexander, Atkins, Baker, Benton, Blackburn, Blackwell, Blanks, Boyd, Haile, Hamil, Hamilton, Killough, Knox, Lacewell, Miller, Moses, Mowery, Page, Pangle, Patty, Sprunt,Stotts, Storm, Rousseau, Smith, Thompson, Ward,White, Willeford, Woodard, Wooten, and many many more. The revision is printed by Glendon Miller of Wichita, Kansas. There are 85 pages of extensive research for the descendents of Hugh Miller, what a find!

Do you think that would help us both out? It's not a very good copy and kinda of hard to read. I am trying to trace it down to order a new copy. Let me know. Ceya

(of course there are more dates but I won't bore with those unless you want them). They were married in Fannin Co., Texas and are there in the 1900 and 1910 census in the 1920 they are in McClain Co., OK but sometime after that one they move back to Fannin Co. Which is where most of the kids were born (again if you want names and dates let me know). I have a feeling he might be the John that is listed here: 1880 Fannin Co., TX census..this is what it says: Vol A. Hamilton age 48 b. AL (most likely Valentine Austin Hamilton) Martha " " wife age 45 b. NC (Martha Caroline Dean) Fannie dau age 19 b. AL Lorenzo(a)D. son age 17 b. AL John son age 6 b. AL But am in the process of trying to prove that this is him. If you want any more info please let me know! Tiffany Hamilton Henderson, NV

I have ordered a birth certificate for my grandmother and her death certificate and hoping for more info on them. I will defiantly let you know when I get them and what they say. Tiffany

He had three sons and one daughter. The tree I have starts there. I do have information (picture and documentation that they were horse traders? dealers? anyway....they raised and sold horses. One of the places was in Stratford. There were MANY Edward and Hugh Hamiltons so I am not sure if this is the same family?? Do you have any names, dates, places AFTER 1800?? I am hoping this is the same family! Ceya

I am going to forward your genealogy information on Albert and his wife to him and I hope we can make a match. You might be able to get a death certificate on him at Fanniin County county clerk's office or find an obituary on him in the newspaper closest to where he died. That would help a lot! And if you know his date of birth, you might put his name into the Social Security Death Index and find out more about his last address where he lived when he died, etc. You can also check with the Fanniin County Historical Society. I used to belong to the Historical Commission there when I worked as a reporter for the Bonham Daily Favorite and they were very helpful to me! Thank you for providing us withthe information and I will do my best to help you find your ancestors. I hope they fit in with our SMith family! The information for Mrs. Tacker-Smith was good but can you plese give us as much info as you can about where and when your Albert Smith was born?

I don't have a lot of information about him, but maybe this is my lucky day. I understand that Hugh was in the British Army (an Accounted Officer), I don't know if he came to N.S., but I think he probably did. He had a son, John, who got land in Musquodoboit. Can't tell if it was a grant, or if he bought it. John was born abour 1788-90, and married Jane Mason of South Rawdon, N.S. I'm assuming Hugh would have been born around 1750 + or -. Hugh would have been my 3rd Grt. Grandfather. I have found quite a bit of information on John and his family, which I will gladly share with anyone. Gloria

    2. Tiffany, Do any of your Hamilton's connect to a Robert Hamilton and Rebecca Robeson Hamilton. Rebecca moved to the area of TX after Robert died. I have been told that she remarried. They had nine children and some of the children located in the Collin, Lamar, and Fannin County area. They probably moved after 1848 from TN. Thanks if this can be connected, please let me know Glenda
