Does anyone know anything about a Thomas and Gilbert Hamilton who supposedly arrived in Virginia c1765 from Scotland.Thomas had 3 sons Archibald, Henry and John.The whole family eventually went to Annapolis Royal ,Granville,Digby and Sandy Cove.I have not found this arrival info but the remainder is correct. This from you John. I do not think it is the same family. Schuyler's father as far as I know, was probably James Hamilton, bn Jan. 1757. He resided in Augusta, Amherst, Russell co. Va. and d. in McMinn co. Tn. Sorry I couldn't help. John That is my father's family. James, Schuyler, Robert Schuyler, John, William Martin, Robert (who was my father) I can't seem to get back past James. I did get an email from someone saying James's father was Luke. This is what I have on the Hamilton family, I know that Thomas married a Charlotte Yeazle, sometime in the 1800, when a census was taken he was 31 year's of age and she 31, they both were born in 1849, it state's that his Dad and Mom were both born in Kentucky but no name's that is my problem, Charlotte, who we called Lot, her mother was living with them at that time her name was Diena Yeazle she was 70 years old , it states her parent's were born in tenn.That is all I have on the Yeazle family I am really having a rough time with these name's can't seem to find the link anywhere, but I will keep trying thank's for answering my mail. ?Looking for information on Sarah Hamilton. She was born in Ireland on May 3,1883. She died December 12,1964 in Trenton or Belleville, Ontario, Canada. She is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Trenton, Ontario. When she was 16 in 1899 she came to Montreal Quebec, Canada on a boat from Shannon Ireland. She left with her sister Delia Hamilton. Delia Hamilton died in her apartment building due to an airplane wing falling on the building in Montreal Quebec, Canada. Sarah Hamilton came to Ontario around Kingston and Gananque, She married Francis Thompson Findlay in 1915-16. He was born in 1870 and died in 1938. This is what is on his headstone. He is buried in St.George's Cemetery in Trenton, Ontario. Francis was married before he married Sarah not sure who he married but he had a son named Alan Hamilton he is buried in Trenton, Ontario in Mount Evergreen Cemetery. Sarah and Francis had 1 daughter named Kathleen she is my grandmother. She was born January 25,1918 in Trenton, ! Ontario. She died June 15,1991 in Trenton, Ontario. She is buried in Mount Evergreen Cemetery. Sarah Hamilton left family back in Ireland there were about 13 brothers and sisters. I know there was a set of twins named Joseph and Josephine and a brother named Paddy. So there is about another 8 out there we have know information on. Sandy, Thomas was from Fleming County Kentucky, I did find him on a census of Popular Plains from the 1800, but so far nothing else he was 39 at the time the census was taken his wife was a Charlotte Yeazle Hamilton, they had several children including my grandfather Frank who was my dad's father. My father died early the age of 52 we knew little about his family any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank's for showing some interest. Brenda
