    2. I don't have much information on my Hamilton relative - but she comes from that area. Our family moved from Rockport to Nemaha NE. The only information I have is as follows: Sarah Ann Hamilton 20 Mar 1865 MO 6 Oct 1936 Nemaha, NE She is buried in Union Prairie Cemetery in Stella NE. She married William Henry Barker on 10 Dec 1884 in NE. I have her parents listed as David Hamilton and Martha Hinton. I don't know if this will connect with your family - let me know! Anyway, I'm no computer whiz, just a suggestion and a note to tell you that all is working on this end. 3. I have found a goldmine in a page of a Civil War pension application of the names in this family--fills in some blanks. One name is something like "Abjrcanus" , "Abyrcanus", "Absscanus" -- cannot read it! Could be starting with an H (Hyrcanus?); Middle name is Bames, Bemes, Barnes. Anybody hazard a guess as to what this name might be? One of this persons (I don't even know if it is male or female) named his child ABNER, so I'm trying to figure out if it came form this. Other names in this family born in Beaver Co. PA were Octavius Augustus b. 1848, Josephus Boyd, b. 1851, Mary Elizabeth b. 1853 (Lawrence? Co. OH; all these next from Meigs Co. 3. I have been searching for over 30 years for the parents of children born in PA 1801 - 1808 and died in the area of Fairfield Co OH. Dates of their children's birth indicate they probably moved to OH in the late 1820's or early 1830's. Unknown Mr. Hamilton and wife, perhaps named Susannah, had children Susannah born 1801 (who married Christian Smith), John born 1803, Joseph born 1805. and perhaps a Matilda and William. A Susannah Hamilton born 1774 PA was in the household of Christian and Susannah Smith in the 1850 census, and I am guessing she may be the mother of the children, but of course could be an aunt. Susannah Smith and her brother, Jacob Hamilton stated that both of their parents were born in Pennsylvania. Gayle gayle1@wheatstate.com
