County Tyrone and Hamilton are both very familiar. I have a great uncle, Charles Stuart Hamilton, born 1869 in Berkeley Heights, NJ, son of William Buchanan Hamilton of Mullawinney, Ireland. William married Anne Frazee, another old New Jersey family, and was one of 8 born between 1817 and 1835 in County Tyrone. The Stuart was for King Charles of England. Very common names, all. A bit difficult to sort them out, although it's likely there is some family connection. Do you know any more about the Co Tyrone locations of your ancestors? Eventually, at least two of the older children moved to Iowa - back to Canada - then on to Michigan. Either born or was a young child in York Co, Pennsylvania. Had 5 siblings: Thomas (b. 1807), John (b. 1812), William Thorley (b. 1815), Mary Jane (b. 1817), and Hannah Sarah (b. 1821). I've just added their info. to the Family Trees section. I believe he died on Sept. 2, 1849 in Lower Allen, Cumberland Co., PA. Abraham was married on 28 Jan. 1834 to Mary C. Graff and they had a least one child, Andrew Graff Hamilton, born 1836. I am descended from John Hamilton (b. 1812), Abraham's brother. If there is anyone else out there from this branch of the Hamiltons of central Pennsylvania, please contact me. John's son, Alfred Thorley Hamilton (b. 1836) is my great-grandfather.

Hello all Hamiltons, I am hoping someone will have in their files the following HAMILTONS: Cora Matilda HAMILTON, b. Feb. 12, 1869 to: Frank (Franklin D.) HAMILTON and Albertine Unknown in N.Y. New York State, U.S.A. She is listed on the 1870 census for Rose Town, Wayne County, NY along with her father: Franklin Hamilton and mother: Albertine Hamilton; all born NY I cannot find this family in the 1880 census. They moved to Michigan sometime before 1883 as Cora was married at the age of 13/14 to Ephraim Roe in Michigan. I think Cora had 3 brothers: Oren, William and Robert but can find no information on them either. Franklins' parents may have been:David R. Hamilton and Mary Unknown. They are listed in the 1860 census: Savannah Town, Wayne Co., NY with children: Mary age 23, Hollister age 21, Mytie age 19, Frank D. age 15, William age 6.
