Hamilton, Jr., 60, of the 3900 block of Van Ness Dr., passed away on Monday, February 13, 2006. Born in California, Mr. Hamilton was retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service and was currently employed with Prosoft Company. He is survived by his wife, Zelda Hamilton; two daughters, Debbie Spencer and husband Cecil, and Gayla Lindros and husband Phil; a son, Charles Hibbetts; three sisters, Phyllis, Myrta, and Louise; two brothers, John and Terry; seven grandchildren, Darren, Sean, Jason, Dayna, Benjamin, Cory, and Christopher; and four great grandchildren, Kalen, Megan, Gabriella and Jonathan. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with Rev. Tom Maddrey officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.

Jacob was born in New Jersey, moved to Tennesse and then to Mississippi,where he died in 1857, he was born in 1756. He and Charity were the parents of about seven children, one of which wasDudley Carter my gggrandfather. Charity was born bet. 1780 -1790, I don't know where. At least one childwas born in Georgia and one in LA. I believe she died abt. 1844 in MS.If you have any information on Charity I would greatly appreciate it.
