    1. Re: [HAM] Hamilton DNA Results
    2. Josh, I am going to jump in here if you don't mind. We got the results back from the lab and they sent the email address. I must be dumb or something as I am having a problem figuring out how to read the charts. I am trying to figure out which halo group we belong to and I came up with a I1a. Does that mean we fall into Group I. Myrta E. Hamilton Hessley

    3. Hi Bonnie, After I mailed in my swab the results were done about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks later. The lab e-mailed me and I was able to check everything online. It is a very interesting process especially when one begins to delve into the Haplogroup designations. Bonnie Hamilton Bonnie L Hamilton [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: Gordon Hamilton [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, March 08, 2006 4:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [HAM] Hamilton DNA Results Recently several new sets of Hamilton DNA results have been uploaded to <http://www.personal.psu.edu/faculty/g/a/gah4/HamDNA/Results.html>. Some highlights from the current summary are: the results for over 140 participants are now reported and matches for more than 70% of the participants have been found; those that match others have been divided into 11 different groups (Groups A through K) with the largest group (Group A) having 37% of all participants; the DNA profile for the Abercorn line, the senior male Hamilton line, has been determined and it matches the profile for one of the groups; and the DNA profile for a Swedish Hamilton line, thought to be derived from the Hamiltons of Dalserf, Scotland, has also been obtained. With this database of Hamilton profiles now available, those of you with Hamilton connections are encouraged to have the DNA of your Hamilton line analyzed because you now have an excellent chance of finding DNA matches and, by comparing notes, possibly being able to extend the knowledge of your line considerably. 1. WILLIAM HAMILTON
    2. dhayes
    3. Good morning....... writing to see if anyone has this Willimam Hamilton in their family tree. William died at the age of 49 ...11/12/1925 in Sarahsville, OH. He was survived by this wife...name unknown....3 sisters.... Mrs. A.B. Ruby, Mrs Lydia Morris, Mrs Charles Perry & one brother, John. The above info was taken from his obit in a Zanesville, OH newspaper dated 1/16/1925. I'm interested in his sister Mrs Charles Perry, who I believe her first name would have been Ina. Here & her husband, Charles...a preacher, lived in Caldwell, OH at that time. Looking for the name of William's parents.... to see if this is the same lady that I've been searching & have hit a brick wall on her early years. Whereabouts know til about 1962. My g grandmother's obit lists her as a sister but has no connection to the Hamilton family..... so maybe this is just a coincidence? Just trying this angle since this is all I have to go on at this time! Thank you for your time & any help that you may provide!! Linda
