    1. HAMILTONs of Tarboro, NC prior 1800
    2. Another needle in the proverbial haystack. There has been a 'HINT' that the Hamiltons of Marion Co., SC area of late 1790s were from the Tarboro NC area. Plus there is a Hamilton Twp east of Tarboro. There was land confiscated from a John Hamilton Company in Halifax Twp/Jacket Swamp area by a John Carstarphen in 1752. Both twps are between Hwy 301 and I 95. Like MANY families, at that time, there were MANY MANY Williams & Johns. My search is for a William Hamilton b/a/1770 with wife Tilitha MANNING, & brother/kin? John b/a/1786 and wife, Martha (NOT Martha GREER). Francis and wife, Lydia. and a David that was in the 1790 census and the War of 1812 that lived in the Liberty/Marion/Dillon area of eastern SC. Some of these families crossed the nearby state line into Robeson Co., NC. Any assistance appreciated. Audrey

Is George Bee Myers your ancestor as well as Mary? Have you tried finding a Myers researcher to see if they have information? I searched on George, and found that the Cook family he married into ties (loosely) to a couple of families. The world gets smaller everyday. Please let me know if you find your Mary. I am convinced that some of the other Hamilton groups in the area have to be related. Most of the families i have travelled or moved in packs. Pam
