Jennifer, I know that there were a group of Hamilton's who lived in Liverpoole, and one family had a son who worked on the Titanic, Mr E. Hamilton, 25, was born in Liverpool. He was on board the Titanic for her delivery trip from Belfast to Southampton. When he signed-on again, in Southampton, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 5 Shirley Road, (Southampton). His last ship had been the Olympic. As a first class steward he received monthly wages of 3 15s. Hamilton died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified. Thank you for your reply Ron, it does look as though he may be my David, if his wife was a WEST, and they had a son William- eighth child c. 1831, born in Barony, Glasgow . It seems there may have been a group baptism, when about four or five of the children were older. I am grasping at straws I know. On my Great Grandfather, William Hamilton's death record, signed by his daughter Elizabeth, it is stated that his parents were William Hamilton and Mary West, there is an endless supply of Williams , but no Mary's or Mary West's. Also none of the children named Mary or West. I keep being told that the records can be wrong, with parents shown being completely wrong. So thought I would give the David Hamilton, Agnes West couple a whirl to see if perhaps their William was mine, but then to prove he really was my William, is another brick wall. I am searching for information on Simeon Hamilton who was in Moniteau Co., Missouri at the time the 1850 census was taken. He is not there in 1860. He was born in Kentucky in 1810. If anyone has Hamilton or Hambleton families in Kentucky around 1810, please let me hear from you. Thanks. Connie
Hi Rita, If you can get on line go to Family Tree Maker and they can give you back all of your info. Hopefully pictures and all. It woudl be worth a try. I have gone through two separate crashes. I did not think about that the first one, but it sure made a difference this last time. Save me from having to type all the into all over again. Good Luck.
