Hi Phoebe, I read your post on the Hallman's and just wanted to write and tell you that my husband (Larry Permenter), descends from the same family. Jacob Hallman was Larry's ggg-grandfather. Larry was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Last summer we visited Ala. and went to the Reverend Luther Hallman reunion in Northport, were ya'll there?
