I am looking for information about two of my female ancestors who both lived in or near the Montgomery County area of Pennsylvania in the mid 1800s. One is Lovinia Hallman b. 18 July 1806, d. June 6 1892. She was the wife of Peter Godshalk, and the mother of Reiff Gottshalk, my great-great grandfather. Reiff was born in Lower Salford, PA. Lovinia is my 3G grandmother. I do not know if Reiff was their only child. The other is Sophia Hallman, Reiff's mother-in-law. Sophia Hallman was born Jan 5, 1817, and died 24 February 1895. She was the wife of Israel Scholl, b. May 21, 1815, d. Sept. 28, 1890. Their daughter was Louise (Louisa) Scholl, Reiff's wife - b. 6 Sept 1842, E. Perkiomen, Mtgy County - d. Dec 15 1921 in Phila. Sophia is also my 3G grandmother. I am also wondering if Lovinia Hallman and Sophia Hallman were sisters or perhaps cousins. I have no information about parents for either of them.
