Faith I have seen this formula somewhere else, but it doesn't always work correctly and I would use with caution. ie. died 1898 02 12 age 69 01 01 equals 1829 01 11 less 8 7 70 equals 1828 12 41 In the above example the birthdate comes out 12th month 41st day 1828 year; which you then have to convert to 1st month 11th day 1829 year; or Jan 11, 1829. I don't have a problem with this but I hope you are not going to get spammed by some people saying "There is no December 41st?". Or worse yet they will actually use this date in this information!!!! This formula also assumes a 30 day month, which can throw it off by a day or two. In your example the birthdate is actually September 26, 1857. There is a website converter I use which seems to do the trick which also gives you the option of Gregorian or Julian calendar. http://enws347.eas.asu.edu:8000/~buckner/bdform.html
