It takes you right to the archives. when the first page comes up, type the given (first) name of the person you are searching for in the query box, then click on 1998 (you can go back & search the 1999 later). When the list of messages come up in the next page, you will find the messages are in order of how closely they match your requested name; ie: 100=a close match. Scroll down the list and when you see a message you want to read, click on Full to bring up the complete message. Two things Rootsweb asks of us, please do not send HTML messages, and do not send attachments through the list. If you want to send a attachment to a personal address of someone you've contacted on the list, you can do that.
