    1. FIRST ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
    2. Howard Heckendorn
    3. I vote along with the other "Yes" votes. I was completely shocked when I saw the name just a moment go of Howard Hallman. My mother's late Uncle, on her mother's side, was named Howard Hallman and I was named after him. My mother also pegged me with a middle name, after her father's brother, her Uncle Roy. So my initials are HRH, of course any good subject of the Crown Heads of England know those initials stand for "His (or Her) Royal Highness", a long standing joke in our family. I've been a member of this Hallman List now for about a year, having found Cousin Faith on the internet by accident in October '98..... enjoy it immensely. I have found long lost relatives, and neighbours that are related, through the late Joan Hallman's "Hallman Family History in Canada". Also found a family connection with a long time family friend in the Schlichter line, not only on the Hallman side of our family, but on the Heckendorn side also. Heckendorn's and Hallman's have been joined together a few times in our Family History. My great Grandfather Henry S. Hallman, his mother having been the former Nancy Schlichter, compiled and printed the 'original' "History of the Hallman Family in Canada" after the first family reunion in 1905, held in Berlin (Kitchener), Ontario. It was reported in the "Berlin News Record" of the day, "that between 600 and 700 Hallmans and blood and marriage connections, gathered on Thursday, June 22, 1905 in Schneider's Grove, Berlin, for the first Hallman Family Reunion in Canada." My nine generations of the Hallman connection are: I Anthony Hallman cir. 1671-1759 m. Mary Salome ?; II Henry Hallman m. Anna Maria Bersons; III Benjamin Hallman m. Anna (Fronica) Gotwals; IV Benjamin Hallman 1783-1869 m. Elizabeth Detweiler; V Wendall Hallman (Rev.) 1827-1910 m. Nancy Schlichter; VI Henry S. Hallman (Rev.) 1859-1932 m. Maria Rosenberger; VII Nancy Ellen Hallman 1887-1968 m. Harry E. Geach; VIII Theo Geach 1916 m. Nelson Heckendorn; IX.....and that's me! I'm happily married to my wife Colleen of 43 years come November 2nd, and we have five children, the eldest is our daughter who is a Reverend with the Anglican Church, four sons and four and one third grandchildren. I'm retired, a former nurseryman and landscape designer that became a mobile and radio disc jockey. Enjoy relief woodcarving as a hobby and am a novice at genealogy.
