    3. I am pleased with the Hallman response to our Get Acquainted week! I think this will be interesting to both Newbies and Oldies on the Hallman list. I am your Listowner (as you know, I prefer List Hostess). I am single, a retired Secretary/Bookkeeper, living in the Verde Valley of North Central Arizona. This is my third time to live in Arizona I first came to Phoenix from Michigan in 1955. I worked in the Business office at the Republic & Gazette Newspapers (as it was called back then) for a few years. When my father died (in Florida), I brought my mother back to Arizona to live with me. After she passed away in 1962, I moved to Calif. to be closer to my brother & family. In 1971, I took a 2 month trip to Europe and England & when I returned I moved back again to Arizona (Prescott). I worked in the Dept. of Health Services for Arizona State in Prescott and then in Phoenix. In the late 70's, my brother & his family had moved to Western Washington. They loved it up there & talked me into coming to Washington State. That's where I lived until I retired & moved to Arizona in 1993. I came up here to the Verde Valley in 1997. Just recently, I moved to the Verde Valley Manor Retirement Village. After waiting for 3-1/2 yrs to get in, I hope to spend many happy years here! I was born in MI & lived there until I was nineteen. I have also lived for short periods of time in the states of Florida, Pennsylvania & Rhode Island, but am a true Westerner for more than one-half of my life. As you can see, I was a Wanderer. I still love to travel! My favorite country is England. I have been there four times and hope to visit it again at least once or twice more. I guess you can call me an Anglophile! I "work" part-time as a Senior Companion. I have five elderly, or handicapped, ladies that I help by driving them (one each day) to their doctors' appointments, shopping, banks, etc. It keeps me busy and is better than sitting on a couch watching TV. When not working, I am more apt to be on my computer, though, rather than watching TV, working on genealogy! My Hallman lineage: Anthony & Mary Salome HALLMAN. Henry and Anna Maria (BERSON) HALLMAN Benjamin and Anna or Fronica (GOTWALS) HALLMAN Benjamin and Elizabeth (DETWEILER) HALLMAN who migrated to Ontario, Canada in 1825 Wendell and Nancy (SCHLICHTER) HALLMAN Rev. Henry S. and Maria (ROSENBERGER) HALLMAN Grace I. HALLMAN and Harvey M. HUTCHINGS My parents. My mother moved to Michigan after she married my father, who was a "Michigander." That's about it. I don't have any "Brick Walls" in my Hallman ancestry, thankfully! Faith Hutchings faith@verdenet.com
